Abstract

The purpose of this research is to compare the number of trainees trained by Malaysian Maritime Education and Training Institutes (METIs) from January 2018 to December 2018. We use frontier analysis in this nonparametric research approach to determine the percentage of performance efficiency. The results show that the majority of METIs have a performance efficiency of less than 39%. This study has contributed to the creation of a body of knowledge and is expected to raise awareness of METIs in Malaysia in order to improve their technical efficiency.
